Pantai Tengah
The calmer beach just over the headland from Cenang — spas, good food, cheap duty-free drinks, and a fraction of the noise.
Pantai Tengah is Pantai Cenang's quieter sibling — same warm Andaman water, just over a rocky headland to the south. It's more upmarket and calmer, with the island's best cluster of spas and a lot of its better restaurants, while the party end stays a short walk (or a cheap taxi) away in Cenang. If you want the west-coast base without the noise, this is it.
Cenang or Tengah?
Stay in Tengah for calm, good food and wellness; walk to Cenang when you want the bustle, the water sports and the night market. The beach itself is smaller and gentler, resort-lined rather than backpacker-strewn, and because Langkawi is duty-free the beach bars pour a cold Tiger for not much.
Note
Nightlife here is a few mellow bars, not a strip — Cenang has the scene. And late-night taxis dry up, so plan your ride home. Jet-skis and banana boats still run off the sand.
